Job Description  

Technical Director, Center for Mass Spectrometry  

Technical Director manages operations of the Center for Mass Spectrometry, currently centered around a Thermo Scientific Q Exactive HF-X Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer.  Consults for faculty and students on design and execution of research and course projects including selection of techniques, materials and tools. Presents lectures, tutorials and short courses in use of LCMS, analysis and interpretation of proteomic, metabolomic, and other data.  This is a ¾-time staff position with the opportunity to teach Chemistry and Biochemistry labs for additional compensation.  Acts to support a diverse workforce and participates in College's efforts to create a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming work environment.

 

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses)

 

Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related discipline and experience with mass spectrometry is required.
